The Knoxville Independent School League (K.I.S.L.) held its annual Volleyball Tournament last week at St. Joseph’s School with the finals being held on Friday, October 2nd.
The St. Mary’s varsity volleyball team from Oak Ridge took first place in the regular season and swept the tournament securing their 3rd consecutive Championship.
“We never dropped a set” said Coach Rob Halcrow beaming with excitement. “A THREE-PEAT! We couldn’t be happier to have won both the season and tournament for the last three years”, he added.
Coach Laura McKenna said, “Their hard work paid off big-time. This is a fabulous group of girls that gave it their all on and off the court”.
When asked how they did it, coach Halcrow had this to say… “Dedication from everyone involved. The tremendous job of our athletic director; giving us the support we needed to be successful, each player’s willingness to commit to every practice and game without fail, and our wonderful parents who without their support none of this would be possible.”
