Save the date for the 66th Annual St. Mary’s Fall Festival which will be celebrated this year on October 28th -29th. Every year the community looks forward to sharing this day of fun, fellowship and festivities on St. Mary’s Parish grounds.
On Friday, Oct 28th, kick-off this year’s festival on by joining us for the annual Knights of Columbus spaghetti dinner. Dinner will be served from 5-7pm in the St. Mary’s Parish Life Center/Columbus Hall followed by a Live Auction beginning at 7pm. Throughout the evening, satisfy your sweet tooth by purchasing delicious treats from the “Bake Shoppe” and browse through the St. Lucy’s Guild “Silent Auction” and Country Store. The beautiful, hand-painted furniture is always a favorite and children’s activities will be hosted during the auction for children up to 4th grade.
On Saturday, Oct 29th St. Mary’s will host a Fun Run, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with festival activities running from 10am- 5pm on the Parish Grounds. As always, there will be plenty of games and activities for children of all ages, including face painting. Live entertainment will be on the main stage throughout the day. St. Joseph’s Food Pantry will be selling caramel apples to raise money for their ministry. St. Joseph’s Food Pantry is a ministry at St. Mary’s that supplies food to those in need in our community. The White Elephant, a thrift store, is another of St. Mary’s outreach ministries. Shop for household items, fall/winter clothing, as well as, Halloween and Christmas decorations. The White Elephant will be open for business on Friday from 3-5pm, and Saturday from 9am-4pm. The Medic Blood Mobile will also be onsite throughout the day accepting donors.
The selection of festival foods will be amazing and there will be plenty to choose from for both lunch and dinner. Returning favorites this year include; The American Grille, Wing’n It, Bar-B-Que, The German Bier Garten and the Spanish Food Booth.
What’s new this year?
The Fast & Classy Car Club will be hosting their First Annual Car Show which includes everything from classic cars to hot rods. There is a $20 entry fee with 50% of the proceeds going to St. Mary’s Catholic School. Prize drawings and trophy presentations will be awarded. “A Taste of Tennessee Wines,” by Great Valley Wine Trail, will be hosting a wine tasting event. Tickets available at the gate, $20 / for adults over 21 with valid ID. Tasters get a free wine glass and tote bag, and the chance to purchase award-winning Tennessee wines, and talk with local winemakers from Great Valley Wine Trail. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
Feeling lucky? Visit the Irish Pub featuring Smithwick’s Ale, Guinness Draught and Irish Coffee. Oh, and don’t forget to try the Shepard’s Pie. Remember your experience by taking home a souvenir glass, sold at both The Irish Pub and The German Bier Garten.
Outside vendors will also be on display.
