Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Laura Palacios as our new Administrative Assistant. Originally from Idaho, Laura currently works as lead international sales representative for Alcoa’s Consolidated Inventory Supply, Inc., which supplies parts for heavy mobile equipment in the mining, agricultural and construction sectors. Laura begins here on August 7th, and will work primarily in the school at the front desk in support of both School Principal and our School Director of Recruitment and Development. Laura will work in the parish office during the summers, primarily in support of our Parish Office Manager. The position of administrative assistant, which is new for our parish, replaces the two previous positions of parish secretary and school receptionist, both of which ended June 30th.
Describing herself, Laura says, “I am a mother of three. I love spending quality time with my family. I love crafting and love running. In my free time I love to workout and spend time outdoors. I am a people person and enjoy helping my community.”
Kim Bellofatto (school assistant principal), Sarah Trent (school director of recruitment and development) and I formed the search team that reviewed applications, conducted interviews, and finally identified Laura as the preferred candidate for this position.
