Sign-Up for Mass: Please sign up now for this coming Sunday’s Mass. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and their capable leaders, our Pentecost Sunday Mass went very smoothly. Please remember to sign up for each Sunday’s Mass by no later than Friday at noon of each week. Our usual pre-pandemic Mass attendance is 600-700; we can seat a total of 500 for all five Masses. With many parishioners staying home because they’re in the “vulnerable” category until there’s a vaccine, we’ve had plenty of seats open at each Mass so far.
Solemn Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament: The monstrance will be moved to Saint Mary Chapel on Friday evening, and remain there 24/7 for the duration of the pandemic. If you’d like to join the Saint John Paul II Perpetual Adoration Society, then please contact Deacon John & Vilma DeClue. They’ll be happy to welcome you as a new member.
Sacrament of Penance: Confessions are returning to the pre-lockdown schedule, which means we will have seven, rather than nine, weekly opportunities to celebrate this sacrament of Divine Mercy. The two primary opportunities are: Wednesday evenings after the 6 pm Mass, and Saturday mornings after the 8 am Mass. The five secondary opportunities are: Saturdays @ 5 pm, and Sundays @ 7:30 am, 10 am, 1:30 pm (Spanish) and 5:30 pm. Please arrive prior to the start time, remember to wear a mask and keep six feet “social distance”. The priest remains in the confessional only as long as penitents keep coming.
Happy Memorial of Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions, Martyrs!
