Rather than the traditional Spaghetti Supper followed by a day of food, fun, and festivities, the 70th annual Fall Festival will be a series of events occurring between September 16 and October 31, 2020. Festival events will include both on-line Virtual Events and Outdoor Events that follow/exceed all of the recommended health and safety procedures to protect against the spread of the virus. The planning committee is seeking inspiration, innovation, and new ideas. More information can be found here.
We successfully kicked off the festival with the SMS online auction and the Drive-Thru Spaghetti Dinner last weekend. Thank you to all those who purchased dinner and participated in the online auction.
The next event will be the start of the St. Lucy’s Guild Silent Auction on October 2. Watch for a link to bid on items hand-crafted by the members of the St. Lucy’s Guild. On October 10, the St. Lucy’s Guild will host an outdoor sale in the Lower Parking Lot near the soccer field. Payment and Pick-up for silent auction items will be held on the 10th as well.
Are you a baking prodigy? Test your skill in the Fall Festival Bake-Off! Flyers for the bake-off will be sent home this week – you can register to participate here. Entries will be received in the Columbus Hall from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on October 9.
The Fall Festival will be hosting a series of Drive-In Movie nights on October 10, 17, and 24. Parking for the movies will begin at 7:00 pm with show-time at 7:30. We will be selling dinners each of those nights: Brats, Potato Salad, Hot Dogs and Chips on the 10th; hamburgers, hot dogs and chips on the 17th; and the Hispanic Ministry will be serving tacos and tamales on the 24th. Pre-orders for a dozen tamales will begin this week.
The Finale of the Festival will be Trunk or Treat on October 30 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Decorate your car and join us in passing out candy to all our trick-or-treaters.
Hope to see you all at one or more of these events!!!
