The music ministry of our church seeks to serve God, our community, and our neighbors through music. We are committed to expanding our music ministry to include a variety of musical styles and traditions, including but not limited to classical (vocal and instrumental), gospel, traditional hymns, and contemporary Christian praise music. The music ministry seeks to offer music in our church life that reflects the many cultures and traditions of our congregation and its community.

When needed at any Mass to help the ordinary ministers of Holy Communion – the Priest, Deacons and Seminarians – to distribute the Precious Body or Precious Blood of Jesus.  When needed, Extraordinary Ministers take Holy Communion to the sick and home bound.

The role of a lector is to proclaim the Word to the people of God. When one answers the call to be a minister of the word, one enters a deeper relationship with the word of God as revealed in sacred scriptures.  The lector takes upon themselves the duty and privilege of bringing the printed word to life.

The altar is the focal point of the church, the table on which the Eucharistic Sacrifice is offered. We want our church and altar area to show our care and concern for this Precious Sacrament.  This CCW ministry includes laundering and ironing of church altar linens on a weekly basis.

Hosting Groups:

  • 1st weekend: Saint Mary School
  • 2nd weekend: Legion of Mary
  • 3rd weekend: Council of Catholic Women
  • 4th weekend: Knights of Columbus

We thank you for undertaking this ministry of service to the community. Too often ushers are considered to be “…those people who take up the collection.” That is the most visible aspect of the duties of the usher, but not the most important. The primary role of usher is to provide assistance to the members of the congregation and thereby facilitate the full and active participation of the laity in the Mass.
