The Rosary Roses are a Rosary-based prayer group whose long term goal was to increase prayer, specifically of the Rosary, and to eventually spread out to other churches. The Roses are not a working group, but are dedicated to the praying and propagation of the Rosary.
The St. Faustina Rosary Rose is dedicated to the Divine Mercy propagation; the St. Gianna Molla Rose is dedicated to Life Issues from conception to death; the St. Joseph Rose is tailored to any Saint Mary Parish needs and the support of our parish, priests, and family/married life. We also have a St. John XXIII Spanish Rosary Rose.
To join or begin a Rosary Rose, contact Barb McFall (865-202-3883) or Peggy Mitchell (865-482-3960).

We are committed to offering support to families as they adjust to life without their loved ones. Our mission is to be a supportive presence to the families of the deceased through contact over a period of a year after their loss hoping to prevent their grieving alone. The support consists of prayers, phone calls, cards, and an invitation to our annual remembrance mass on All Soul’s Day. Our ministry sponsors a special mass to remember parishioners who have died during the past year. A solemn calling of the names of the deceased and the lighting of a candle in their honor is the highlight of the remembrance mass. The candles remain on the side altar for one week.
We also help the Sacristan set up the church or chapel on the day of the funeral. Family members may want pictures of their loved ones displayed at the back of the church and we help with that as well. We may also serve at the mass as extraordinary ministers or do the readings. We pass on the message when the family wishes to have a Gathering of Friends Luncheon following the mass/burial. We always meet the family at the church an hour ahead of the service to make sure that everything will run smoothly. We greet family and friends and welcome them to Saint Mary Parish.
