Sister Maria Juan Anderson, RSM, is a Religious Sister of Mercy of Alma, Michigan and currently serves as the Director of Christian Formation for the Diocese of Knoxville. Originally from Idaho, she received her degree in Music from Benedictine College and served for three years as a FOCUS Missionary before entering the Religious Sisters of Mercy in 2012. She arrived in East Tennessee in August of this year after studying for her Licentiate in Philosophy at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. She has a passion for evangelization and helping others to grow in knowledge and love of the Lord and His Church. The Religious Sisters of Mercy strive to be the convergence point between God’s mercy and man’s misery, the Sisters live a common life of prayer and service through various apostolates including education and healthcare.
